Grant Aided Business and Marketing Support

Train to Gain Business & Marketing Workshops
More than 200 golf clubs have now taken part in the Business Support programmes run by Golf Unlimited, endorsed by the English Golf Union and supported by the Government’s Train to Gain programme.

This year, the EGU and its golf club marketing consultants Golf Unlimited, have secured further funding to enable senior managers and volunteers at golf clubs to receive practical business training and year round ongoing support on all aspects of marketing your golf club.

The aim is to provide senior golf club staff and volunteers with the management and marketing tools to increase your overall business in this challenging market.

By taking advantage of this innovative support service, golf clubs of all types and sizes can ensure their key personnel and volunteers:

• Are innovative in their club membership and club retention programmes
• Have learned at first hand the use of effective business tools and ideas to help their golf club operate in a challenging market
• Understand how to win visitor loyalty
• Can develop a marketing plan for the future
• Are now receiving year long support and advice from dedicated marketing managers at
Golf Unlimited online and face to face
• Are eligible for further support and tools from golf business suppliers to help their golf club thrive.
